Revco Drug Store
Columbus, Ohio

HGF developed the adaptive re-use of the 1940’s Beechwold Theater into a Revco Drug Store. The exterior renovation included the removal of the plywood siding to reveal the renovated Art Moderne façade of terra cotta and masonry surfaces.

A new marquee sign was created replicating the spirit of the lost original along with a new aluminum and glass storefront.

This project was cited by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as an exemplary way of introducing new drug stores into an existing urban fabric.
