HGF Joins US Green Building Council

Herman Gibans Fodor, Inc. – Architects (HGF) is proud to announce that it has recently joined the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). This reflects HGF’s strong commitment to sustainable design and responsible stewardship of our environment.

The USGBC is the nation’s foremost coalition of building industry leaders working to promote environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work.

As a member to the USGBC, HGF has access to the most current announcements, information, and resources about sustainable design. HGF staff members actively participate as corresponding committee members to drive market change in the healthcare, housing and other segments of the building industry.

HGF is also a member of the USGBC’s local affiliate, The Cleveland Green Building Coalition. This provides local opportunities for HGF employees to enhance their practical knowledge of emerging trends in sustainable design by participating in workshops and educational programs.

There is growing national awareness that green design can positively impact occupant health and improve the environment. HGF proudly supports and encourages our clients to implement sustainable design features in their projects and has a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional on staff to facilitate this process.
